This Is How We Build – Training Series Launch
Join us for free breakfast at the launch of This Is How We Build — a new training series designed to support the building industry to build smarter and more circular at every stage. We will launch Module One & Two at this event!
The Southern Lakes is one of the fastest-growing regions in Aotearoa, and with that comes both opportunity and responsibility. From builders and site managers to architects, designers, suppliers, developers, council, and clients — we all have a role to play in shaping how we build for the future.
This Is How We Build is a call to action to rethink every stage of the building process from inception through to end-of-life with a focus on reducing waste, improving energy efficiency, lowering long-term costs, and creating more resilient, future-fit buildings. And the training programme is FREE!
With construction and demolition waste making up around 34% of total waste in the Queenstown Lakes District over 300 tonnes to landfill each week — the need to shift how we build has never been clearer.
This FREE brekkie session (eligible for LBP points) launches the first two modules in our six-part series — Why Care and Circular Economy 101. We’ll watch the short, practical training films together, followed by a quiz and kōrero on what better building looks like in action and how it can be applied in your work right now.
Come for the free coffee and breakfast, stay for the insights, and connect with others committed to building better.
Sign up to the Better Building Newsletter and receive each of the training modules directly to your when they go live over the next 4 months.
This event is proudly supported by Queenstown Lakes District Council Zero Waste District Programme. Thank you also to our supporting host partner Mitre 10 Mega Queenstown.
