Amanda Currie

Since purchasing Tinwald Farm with her husband, Adrian, in 2012, Amanda Currie has worked with a dedicated team to explore how farming practices can support the health of soils, ecosystems and the quality of the food we eat. Tinwald Farm incorporates sheep, beef, vineyards and heritage Clydesdales. The philosophy of the team is to continually test and trial new ideas for improving and encouraging microbial populations within soils.

Amanda came to farming after a career in financial services and regulation. She has spent the last decade studying and working to better understand the connections between microbiology, soil, plant, animal and human health.

Amanda has a particular passion for Clydesdale horses. At Tinwald Farm, the Clydesdales play a vital but unconventional role - inviting visitors to slow down, ask questions and see the farm through a different lens.

Amanda will be speaking at the Soil, Animal and Human Health session during the Food Resilience Day Tour at Wao Summit 2026.
