Filippo Scaramella

Filippo Scaramella is an Italian-born entrepreneur and founder of Marble and More Ltd, a company specialized in high-quality engineered roof systems for energy efficiency.

Drawing on his lifelong expertise, the company uses natural materials to care for the environment, delivering cold-ventilated roof systems built to last over 100 years — drastically reducing landfill waste, eliminating mould for cleaner indoor air, and stabilizing indoor temperatures to cut heating and cooling costs by up to 30%.

Thanks to his European background in prefabricated wood housing, Filippo brought a unique understanding of timber building to New Zealand, and it was for this reason that he began promoting THOMA — a revolutionary solid-wood construction system that uses 100% pure, non-toxic timber, mechanically joined with wooden dowels.

With a passion for natural, sustainable building methods, Filippo made the decision to bring that expertise to the other side of the world, where he is now dedicated to helping Kiwis build healthier, more energy-efficient, and more sustainable homes.
