Biochar Workshop with Dr Compost

  • Crosshill Garden 1025 Lake Hawea-Albert Town Road Lake Hawea New Zealand (map)

Join Ali Soper from Crosshill Garden and Dr Compost (Ben Elms) for an afternoon learning all about Biochar. Ben will be bringing along his Biochar Kon-Tiki kiln.

Biochar is a charcoal-like material made from organic matter that helps improve soil structure, water retention, and supports healthy soil biology. It’s a long-lasting soil conditioner that can help build healthier, more resilient gardens over time.

You’ll learn how to make our own biochar, how to charge it correctly before use, and the best ways to incorporate it into the garden.

Come along for a practical, hands-on afternoon in the garden.

If possible, please register by emailing Ali coach@yourgardencoach.nz

Workshop NZ$10 -pay on arrival.
