A day of hands on practical learning specific to our local climate, held within an organic market garden. Workshops are aimed at veggie growers wanting to do it all! Suitable for Beginner to Advanced Gardeners.
Each workshop in this series will teach you what you need to know for the following 2-3 months of growing until the next workshop is held. So if you are able to attend all 5 in the series, you will be walked through an entire season of growing, learning what you need to know in smaller chunks, ahead of time.

Planning & preparation for a bountiful season + Garlic, Strawberries & more
Garden layout and planning - we will teach you how to make the best of your available growing spaces, identifying any site specific advantages and problems, and ways to work with them for a long bountiful season.
How much you need to grow to suit your household and garden goals, my lazy organic gardening techniques to get the best out of your space with minimal time input whilst ensuring maximum production. Learn about no till gardening, bed rotation & interplanting.
Seed Catalogues and Packets - how to read them and what to look for, so you can order your seeds in time for the start of the season.
Soil Preparation - why it’s so important and worth putting the effort in for the season ahead.
Quick Winter Greens - Greens to grow Indoors/Small spaces - Sprouts, Microgreens, Baby Salad
Maxmise your existing garden - looking after existing plants to get successive harvests
Hand on sessions:
Bed preparation - setting yourself up for a successful season with healthy soil and less weeds.
Garlic planting - getting your garlic in early means bigger bulbs and less disease pressure, you’ll learn exactly how it’s done.
Strawberries - plant maintenance, harvesting runners, winter pruning and new patch set up.
You will leave inspired and highly capable of planning a bountiful organic veggie garden for the coming season.
