Babu Blatt

Babu Blatt is Programme Manager at Wao Aotearoa, where she leads initiatives that strengthen food resilience, community collaboration and systems change across the Southern Lakes.

She facilitates the Southern Lakes Kai Collective, bringing together growers, community organisations, businesses and local government to build a more resilient local food system. Through projects including the Food Growing Blog, regional food events and community food initiatives, Babu is passionate about connecting people, sharing knowledge and empowering communities to take practical action towards a regenerative future.

Babu will be speaking at the Cultivating Community session during the Food Resilience Day Tour at Wao Summit 2026.
