Theo Richard

Theo holds a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering and Sustainability from Lyon’s National Institute of Applied Sciences and is currently the organic gardener at newly starred restaurant Sherwood.

His experience spans wind turbine design in Sweden, supporting Norwegian farmers with energy self sufficiency, teaching biomimicry in the Netherlands, and establishing a FabLab focused on low tech and sustainability in France. He is also a committee member of Queenstown Harvest Community Gardens and helps KiwiHarvest build planter boxes from waste materials. As an SLKC member, he is helping advance food resilience across the district. Originally from Brittany, France, Theo now calls Queenstown home.
