Matt Jones

Matt Jones is a Principal with Rubix, based in Queenstown and leading the delivery of complex infrastructure and redevelopment projects across New Zealand.

His 20 years of experience spans Three Waters infrastructure, 12 years working in the construction sector overseas, aviation, tourism and urban redevelopment projects, including work with Skyline Queenstown and Queenstown Airport Corporation. Matt specialises in integrated project delivery within live operational environments, bringing together stakeholders, operators, contractors and communities to deliver practical, commercially grounded and sustainable outcomes.

Matt has a strong focus on integrated delivery planning, helping clients navigate complex infrastructure challenges while balancing operational, environmental and community considerations. He has extensive experience administering NZS 3910, NZS 3916 and FIDIC contracts, and works across procurement, delivery strategy and contract administration on projects that support resilient infrastructure, sustainable growth and long-term community outcomes.
