Stefan Warnaar

Stefan has been developing StrawSIPS since 2020, with the aim of making strawbale building approachable for anyone regardless of their knowledge of natural building.

StrawSIPS was inspired by prefabrication techniques seen first in Europe and now spreading all over the world. Stefan is a graduate of Chemical Engineering and has worked with a range of different earth building materials before StrawSIPS, which is now his main focus.

Stefan will be at the Better Building Brekkie and Trade Show and speaking at the Yakisugi StrawSIPs Cabin on the Better Building Day Tour at Wao Summit 2026.
