Dr. Nancy Wong
Dr. Nancy Wong is the Pacific Communications & Partnerships Lead with the World Health Organization (WHO). A senior strategic communications leader with more than a decade of experience, Nancy works at the intersection of policy, technology, public interest and risk.
She has led communications, issues management and stakeholder engagement across complex, high-pressure environments spanning international organisations, government and regulatory sectors, working closely with senior leaders, ministers, the media and global partners.
Her expertise lies in translating complex technical issues into credible public narratives, advising leadership during periods of heightened scrutiny, and building trust across political, regulatory and media landscapes. Her experience spans crisis response, climate risk, health systems and global governance, where sound judgement, accuracy and timely communication are essential.
Passionate about the societal impacts of technology and innovation, Nancy is particularly interested in the role communications play in strengthening public understanding, accountability and the responsible development and deployment of emerging technologies.
