Charissa Snijders

Charissa Snijders is an award winning architect who works in the transformational, pioneering space of regeneration and resilience.

In 2025, Charissa was a finalist for the Sustainable Business Network (SBN) Next List - Transformational Leadership. She brings this leadership and weaves creative visionary to the design and process. In 2023, Charissa’s practice achieved a milestone when Unison Network’s Switchroom received a Living Building Challenge Petal certification; this project, even though small has had a significant ripple effect both within the National Energy Network, recognised through NZ Energy Excellence Low Carbon Future award in 2022, and also by NZIA Local Awards in 2024. She is currently working on a project that has set its own regenerative targets and transformational process - a wayshower project that seeks to be a beacon of hope in these challenging times. Charissa’s work bridges real-life practice, research and deep listening as she and her team collaboratively explore this ever evolving space.

Charissa will be speaking on the Better Building Training Series: Integrated Design Webinar on Thursday 18 June 2026.
