Ben Eyers

Ben Eyers is the Founder and Director of Hiberna, a sustainable architecture and construction building firm dedicated to ecological, high-performance homes using the very best in sustainable materials.

Ben has been working with low-energy, natural buildings since 2008, specialising in straw bale construction and natural plasters. His expertise has taken him around the world, from studying Tadelakt in Morocco to building a lime kiln in The Gambia and working on lime plastering projects in England and Spain.

At Hiberna, building with an embedded environmental consciousness is not new for us: we’ve been building this way for over fifteen years. Since then we have built homes in timber frames, SIPs, straw and rammed earth.

We’ve now combined our practical experience of construction methodology with our knowledge of energy efficiency to create Hiberna Modular. Our specific structural panel design, construction methods and pricing are all the result of years of hard- won experience in this field. We know this industry inside-out.

Ben will be helping with the Natural & Regenerative Materials Workshop during the Better Building Day at Wao Summit 2025.
