Better Building Day

The Better Building Day at the Wao Summit is the South Island’s leading sustainable building event for builders, architects, and industry professionals, showcasing the latest in sustainable construction and design. Hear from key industry leaders, gain practical insights, connect with other industry players, and explore solutions to build better, for people and planet.

This full day event will commence at the Luggate Memorial Centre - New Zealand’s FIRST passive house certified community building.

The day will start with a light breakfast and a trade show from 7:30am before getting into the day’s agenda. After an insightful morning of kōrero, presentations and panel discussions, lunch will be provided.

Following lunch, ticket holders will have the option to choose between 4 different workshops at the Luggate Memorial Hall and elsewhere.

The day will end with a Better Building Banter networking session at Wānaka’s Ground Up Brewing.

Participants will also have the ability to apply for  CPD (Continuing Professional Development) and LBP (Licensed Building Practitioner) points for attendance.

For events with NZRAB CPD Points, architects will need to apply for points through their NZRAB CPD portal.

For LBP points, any activity related to your trade can be included as an elective activity on the LBP portal, you only need to log the details as required (i.e. Activity, Date completed, Hours and Detail of activity).
